Mark Boyer, Pastor
Raised in Montoursville, PA, Mark Boyer graduated from Penn State University in 1997 with a B.S. in Music Education and had a successful teaching career in Troy and the East Lycoming School District before being called into full-time ministry in 2013 following a Christian conference. By the Lord’s leading, when he returned from the conference and shared with his church about his desire to enter full-time ministry work, they told him that the Lord had already prepared a spot on their staff, and from 2013 to 2023, Mark served as the Director of Children’s Ministries, and as the Church Administrator for Community Baptist Church in Montoursville. In 2023, the Lord led Mark to consider the next steps in full-time pastoral ministry and led him to The Christian Gospel Fellowship, where he was installed as Pastor in January 2024. Paul Converse, Sr., Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Paul Converse, Sr. served The Christian Gospel Fellowship as lead and senior Pastor for 20 years and retired from full-time ministry in 2023. Wise, prudent, and dedicated to the teaching of the Word, Pastor Paul has ministered to his congregation not only through teaching, preaching, prayer, counseling, and encouragement but also by his quiet and firm dedication to his family. In 2023, Paul and his wife Camey celebrated 50 years of marriage. In retirement, Paul intends to see much more of Camey, his children, and grandchildren!
An avid hunter, fisherman, scooter-rider, slowest-pitch-ever-softball pitcher, and patron of the local breakfast nook, “The Alley Cat”, Pastor Converse is beloved by our church family. He continues to serve as an Elder at TCGF and will serve in an emeritus role.
