Reaching Our Community

Presenting the gospel of our risen savior Jesus Christ into the local community through scripture, service and example has been and continues to be one of the primary objectives here at The Christian Gospel Fellowship.

In addition to the weekly services available, the involvement of all ages of youth from the community — 3 years old through senior high school — in the Word of Life program has been a major emphasis. Children are encouraged to memorize scripture, spend daily quiet time with the Lord, and learn their Bible in lesson, song and fun game times. The leaders of these groups are devoted and loving men and women who spend countless hours of preparation, teaching and caring for the children. Local children are invited and encouraged to attend Daily Vacation Summer School held the first week of August.

Each year we look forward to a holiday production by The Christian Gospel Fellowship of the Living Christmas Tree. A musical choir presentation with live nativity drama has now become a family tradition for many in the Millville and surrounding communities. Those attending one of the programs of The Living Tree are treated to a gospel music presentation from a choir standing on a 23 foot tall Christmas tree platform with 23 trees trimmed with literally thousands of lights, bows and bead. Over 30 carolers, adult and youth, sing the Good News of the birth of baby Jesus. There is no admission charge to this spectacular event.

The Millville Firemen’s 4th of July Parade is not complete without a musical float representation by TCGF. During warmer months passersby are invited and encouraged to participate with Praise in the Park, singing and worship held in the Millville Park on selected Sunday evenings of the summer months. TCGF also participates in the Millville Area Ministerium and the Millville Area Food Bank.

The church has a comprehensive and updated library with hundreds of volumes and videos/DVDs/CDs available to the youth and adults of the church and the community. Christian books are available for teaching, edification as well as wholesome pleasure reading. Summer reading programs are enjoyed by the children.

TCGF is an active supporter of local ministries such as: Your Loving Choices, Columbia/Montour County Child Evangelism Fellowship, Christian Radio WGRC and WPGM, Transport for Christ and Highway Ministries. The church hosts a committee of elders that discern and contribute to physical needs that may arise in the community.

It is the prayer and desire of the men and women who regularly worship and attend The Christian Gospel Fellowship in Iola, that all who enter the doors of the church feel God’s love and most importantly make a life changing decision of receiving Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
